image016-150x150KICK-Off (Kids In Christ’s Kingdom) for primary school-aged children takes place during the second half of the Sunday services in a home near to Northmuir Hall. Around 8-10 children meet on a regular basis – sometimes joined by occasional visitors.  We continue to use Scripture Union’s ‘Light’ resources covering topics such as the Creation or Abraham’s promise along with topical work on Christmas /Easter. Our activities usually include some drama, games, a Bible story and art & craft activities. We have also raised the profile of Jose, our sponsored child through Compassion, and have sent letters/pictures on 4 or 5 occasions to him over the past year. In addition, the annual ‘Light Party’ for primary-aged children – held as a Christian alternative to Halloween – attracted around 40 children. A range of light-themed art & craft activities were undertaken with a short gospel thought presented.

The Crèche meets in the back room of Northmuir Hall on a Sunday morning giving space for the older ones to move around or complete art activities without squashing any babies! This past year we have continued to use the Scripture Union crèche notes each week and have covered topics such as the weather, stories of Jesus, and God our provider.
